Design Process

Painting Process
It is Victoire’s pioneering work to employ the use of color lacquer in high jewelry. From Diorette series to Belladone Island series and Milly Carnivora series, this step requires artisans to be highly loyal to the designer’s original. Each petal of the little flowers on the ring must be painted individually and the painting of the butterfly wings takes about five minutes, and that of the whole ring takes almost three hours.
Manual Assembly
All parts of the assembly of high jewelry are done by hand. Artisans will drill on every element for pre-assembly, and take Diorette series for example, they have to bind every element of the ring together and ensure the elements are firmly fixed and then finalize the ring. The Belladone Island series also needs to undergo similar installation process, especially individual products with organs of complex design, which usually take much longer time to finish. Once finished, craftsmen will trim the whole piece using a file and further clean the details.

Gem Mosaic
Mosaic in high jewelry making is an extensive and profound knowledge. According to different materials and designs, different mosaics will be used. To take Diorette series as an example, the bouquet elements have used three-claw setting while the central gems are inlaid with four claws. For all mosaics involved the central gems of Belladone Island series and Milly Carnivora series, artisans will mark the central gems in advance as to fix the gems as much as possible to wrap the precious stones in the claws precisely.
