Zenvo of Denmark starts developing the Zenvo ST1 from 2004, in the hope of making a “handmade super sports car that is suitable for everyday driving”. This car has a V8 engine, whose maximum horsepower over 1100bhp, will be officially put into production in Denmark by the end of this year.
Most of the components for making this car come from local suppliers, and all the design, research and development work are conducted in Denmark. Based on the design of the Corvette Z06, the Zenvo ST1 has a 7.0 L V8 engine matched with 6-speed manual transmission system, with a maximum horsepower and maximum torque of 1104bhp and 1055lb-ft respectively, exceeding the 1001bhp of Bugatti’s Veyron.
According to Zenvo, the ST1 only needs 3 second to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h and the maximum speed limited by the electronic system due to security consideration is 375 km/h; and if the electronic speed limit is removed, it can outpace the 400km/h of Bugatti Veyron. As the car is made of lightweight steel structure and carbon fiber sheet, it only weighs 1376kg, meaning one horsepower only has to drive a weight of about 1.2kg.
Besides, the car is designed to provide comfortable driving experience, including air-conditioning system, GPS system, Crusie Control System and so on. Parameter such as oil consumption and carbon dioxide emission is not yet released, so is the exact price. But it is learned that only a limited quantity of 15 will be made for “approved clients”.
